Turkish Engineer Girls

Limak has developed Turkey’s Engineer Girls Project, aiming to support girls who want to take or get education. The project aimed at achieving high school and university students includes different support to take care of the engineering education of girls and be given during their training.

In the high school foot of the project, the girls who are trained in Science and Anatolian high school will be informed about engineering profession. In this way, they will be provided to feel close to engineering and take them among more preferences in their professional selections.

In the university foot of the project, the students who need successful and financial support studying in the engineering faculties of universities are offered many different possibilities from scholarship to internship, mentoring to social engineering certification programs.. Scholarships within the scope of the project are given to industry, electrical-electronics, construction, environmental, mechanical engineering students.

The mentoring service provided within the scope of the project aims to meet one of the most important needs of students who want to be assigned to their business life. Mentorship service will be held volunteerly with different female engineers who are working in Limak. Mentors will be in a communication network based on experience transfer with scholarships.

The ratio of women in Turkey population is 52.1%, according to the information that Limak shares, while the ratio of women in labor is 32.3% and the ratio of female engineers in Turkey is 21%.
