The share of renewable energy in Turkey will be 54.7 percent

The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources published the Turkish National Energy Plan, covering the 2020-2035 era. Accordingly; the primary energy consumption in this period with the National Energy Plan scenario released by ministry will reach 205.3 million tons equivalent oil, electricity consumption 510.4 teravath. According to the National Energy Plan scenario, the share of electricity energy in the final energy consumption rises to 24.9 percent, the energy density will be 35.3 percent.

In total of 189.7 gigavata, solar energy will be 52.9 gigavata, wind energy 29.6 gigavata and nuclear energy 7.2 gigavata. The capacity to be taken to the circuit is calculated as 96.9 gigavat. The share of renewable energy resources in electricity production is 34.2 percent, the share of renewable energy sources is 54.7 percent, the share of the power of the power generation of electricity is 43.5 percent, the share of renewable energy sources will rise to 64.7 percent. The battery capacity is 7.5 percent gigavata, the electrolysis capacity will reach 5 gigavata and the demand side participation in 1.7 gigavata. [
