Sustainable ideas for fashion world: Global Change Award

The 5 idea of winning chooses an expert staff with the most important information in the environment, cyclic economy, fashion and initiative. Then the prize of 1 million Euro decides to the public through a vote on the internet how to distribute between these ideas. Winners are also going to Stockholm, New York and Shanghai, participating in an incubator program where innovation will be accelerated for a year and the industry will grow. H&M Foundation’s partners in this process are the world’s leading strategic consulting companies, Accenture and the University of Stockholm Technology from Europe’s leading schools.

Among the winners of Global Change Award last year, the skin produced from wine residues was included in products such as digital content labels, water, solar energy and plant wastes, which are added to products to facilitate recycling process. Even the scarf you can see in the news image, Manure Couture (the fabric produced from the playing fertilizer and dissolved in nature) was awarded.
