Colorado University National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC) reported that this year the ice level is 14,5 million kilometers. It was highlighted that the satellite data has the lowest level since 1979.

] NSCIDC stated that the maximum ice level is reached in 25 February and the North Pole began to melt the ice when entering the spring. The maximum level of this year was highlighted that a previous record measured in 2011 was less than 130 thousand kilometers.
