Made of electricity from rain
The researchers from Singapur National University managed to produce electricity through a tube through ordinary water droplets. The system used in the experiment was able to produce energy up to 12 LED lights. This invention indicates that the rain can turn into renewable and clean energy source one day.
The science reveals how the electricity can be produced with a special water movement model called “dulum flow”. Siowling Soh, the head of the research, produces significant amount of electricity when using a specific flow model, “water falling from a vertical tube. This method can search for a new door to benefit from the energy of rain,” said.

The research is based on the phenomenon of "load decomposition" where water can produce electricity load even in small volumes. The principle of creating load when the flowing water is in contact with an electrically conductive surface was used. However, this contact limited to the surface in classic methods led to yield loss.

To overcome this, the researchers flew the rain-like droplets falling from the top of a tower, in the tube, the short water columns divided into air pockets. During this block flow, the electricity loads were separated and the electricity was produced by collecting at the bottom.
Can be able to manufacture electricity in power[
The multiplier flow system converts more than 10 percent of the energy of falling water into electricity. Moreover, the droplets used in the experiment were moving much slower than the actual rain. This means that the system can work with higher efficiency in natural rains.
Science emphasizes that this method can be installed in urban areas such as roofs and can be much lower than hydropower plants. The idea of getting energy from rain drops can allow individual housings to produce their own energy in the future.
