International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), International Energy Agency (IEA) and 21. The Organization of the Century Renewable Energy Policy (REN21) published the Renewable Energy Policy – Heating and Cooling report on the “Getting Period”. The report focuses on renewable energy technologies as a heat source, to the general energy environment, approaches and intersection policies, heating and renewable energy.

The smallest renewable heat source[
The report considers the approach of geothermal energy and regional heating networks. The report highlighting the benefits, current status and obstacles, geothermal refers to the smallest renewable heat source with a direct use application of about 30 GW until the end of 2019. While the benefits in the report are incredibly short, there is an interesting overview of what obstacles should be targeted. The main obstacles to be targeted are as follows:
Home Low investor trust due to uncertainty on long-term market development,
Home Technical obstacles regarding geothermal applications,
Home The lack of demand arising from the unconsciousness of the public in terms of existing options and benefits,
Home Lack of information about geothermal resources,
Home Risks related to the research of geothermal resources,
Home High operational costs.

Kenya sample successful[
According to the report; geothermal heat can reach small farmers and add value to agricultural activities due to the localized structure and the potential of high efficient use. However, geothermal hot water and steam of local communities need good policy practices and financial support to use economically and sustainablely. In the report, one of the most successful countries in the world in the development of geothermal resources of Kenya and in Substrate Africa, it is considered to be the only country that uses it for agricultural purposes on commercial scale.
