Gaziantep will make difference with Industrial Simbiyoz

Gaziantep machine carpet, polypropylene yarn, slippers and home shoes, textureless fabric, tufting carpet, acrylic yarn, fancy yarn, irmic, suni and synthetic fiber sweater and supter, sack and bag, pasta, confectionery products, Antep nuts and cotton yarn are the first place in terms of manufacturing capacity in many production pen such as cotton yarn.

Gaziantep Chamber of Industry, which acted as the production and export figures in Gaziantep to cooperate with the companies that produce in Gaziantep, started a significant project last year: Gaziantep Industrial Simbiyoz Project. The project financed by Silkyolu Development Agency is carried out in cooperation with METU and Danish Kalundborg Simbiyoz Center. In the first stage of the project, the waste exchange between more than 2000 enterprises registered in Gaziantep Chamber of Industry, and cooperation opportunities based on the common use of logistic and infrastructure, the potential of Industrial Simbiyoz would work in detail Tags. Based on all the facilities set out first and the opportunity of the selected 3 symbiosis will be determined by compliance with businesses, the return period of investment to be made, possible effects of product quality and operating processes, the effects of workers health and workplace safe are evaluated according to criteria, the necessary technical studies, R&D needs, infrastructures, corporate structures, etc.

Potential Industrial Simbiosis possibilities between more than 2000 enterprises registered in the Gaziantep Chamber of Industry will be determined using Industrial Simbiyozanak Scan Tool [ESOTA®] developed by the Middle East Technical University. Thus, in the scope of Industrial Simbiosis projects carried out in the relevant scientific literature and other countries, companies with the side of Industrial Simbiyoz opportunities will be determined and the project will be continued with these companies. After this preliminary screening corresponding to an important time and energy saving, a workshop will be held in which companies are invited according to ESOTA® outputs and the designated Industrial Simbiyoz possibilities will be evaluated together with the company authorities. Finally, companies who are judged by company authorities will be visited and collected the necessary data for pre-fizibilite work.

Within the scope of Gaziantep Industrial Simbiyosis Project, it will also be determined as an Eco-Industrial Park of Kilis Potateli OSB, which is at the installation stage by evaluating the potential of Industrial Simbiosis, which is determined for enterprises registered in Gaziantep Chamber of Industry, etc. These will create a foundation for the work to be performed in order to design Kilis Polateli OSB as an eco-park in the next stages of the project.
