The European Union (EU) prohibited the use of classic acandescent bulbs to fight climate change. Bulbs will be deleted from the market in 3 years

The European Union (EU), which follows the policy of using all kinds of ways in the fight against the change of hope, began yesterday in the implementation of a gradual prohibition of classical acan bulbs. Due to the decision taken, it has been banned from the production of 100 vat and above-power bulbs and importing to the EU market. Stocks on the market can be sold to the sale of these ampoules until they are exhausted. On the basis of the law, classical ampoules are not efficient in terms of energy and create negative impact in the environment.

The EU, who decided to delete classical bulbs from the market, planned a 3-year transition period: 75 in 2010, 60s in 2011, 40’s in 2012. The EU aims to save up to 5 billion euros per year with these steps. The EU is not alone for leaving classic bulbs. The countries like Australia, New Zealand, Canada also announced that they will end to the use of classical bulb. The U.S. is expected to start the ban application since 2012.
