Energy efficiency increases the potential of businesses
The keyword of leaving a planet that can live in future generations is sustainability. One of the most important complements of sustainability, including renewable energy, innovation, technology, recycling, is also efficiency. When it comes to efficiency, there is one of the most important sources at the beginning of the list.

The efficient use of energy and energy-saving applications reveal the results that create huge difference especially in production stage. As part of energy consumption occurs during production, it is possible to reach serious savings figures in energy efficiency projects in the industry.

36. When entering Energy Efficiency Week, we have compiled important information and potentials about energy efficiency:
• The energy density of our country (energy consumed per mile income) on the average of the world and about 2 times the average of the OECD. New technologies and efficiency applications are highlighted in reducing energy density. Therefore, we need to pay special attention to energy efficiency applications.
[• Energy saving and efficiency are among the strategic goals of our country 2023.
• With energy efficiency studies, Turkey’s energy density is aimed at at at at least 20% reduction in the values of 2023 (according to the values of 2011).
[• The industry sector in Turkey carries about 40% of the total energy consumption of our country and about 50% of electrical energy consumption.
[• Energy efficiency in the industry means less energy consumption by using more advanced designs and new technologies of existing production plants without reduction in production.
[• In energy efficiency applications, production, quality and performance have to be experienced. On the contrary, some side products that are considered waste can become new resources available with efficiency projects.
[•• The most energy consumption sectors in our country include iron-steel, cement, aluminum, glass, chemical, textile, food, paper and ceramics.
• With the right efficiency investments in Turkey, 95% of industrial facilities can save energy between 5% - 40%. [email protected]

• With the record of receiving some measures, it can save energy by about 10 percent even with no investment or a small amount of investment. [
[• In the short run, it is possible to consume less energy from day to day with steps such as energy leakage, insulation solutions, transportation and lighting optimization.
[• In order to reduce export dependence on energy, it is necessary to give priority to renewable energy solutions.
[• Renewable energy reduces production input costs in both medium and long-term and contributes to fighting climate change.

Without, it is necessary to give weight to energy efficiency solutions to increase profits from lower carbon footprint and production reduction.
