The Global Forest Resources Evaluation, which includes analyses on the 236 countries and regions of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) was announced in the Global Forest Observations Initiative General Assembly held in Bali. According to the report, forests around the world cover a 4,14 billion hectares area, which corresponds to 32 percent of the land area of the planet or 0.5 hectara per person. Around half of the world forests are in tropical regions. On the global scale, net forest loss increased by 10.7 million per year in 1990s, 4,12 million hectara in 2015-2025. In 1990-2000, the annual 17.6 million hectar, the level of deforestation fell 10.9 million hectara in 2015-2025. In slowing down in the speed of forestlessness in the last 10 years, more than half of the forests are now covered by long-term management plans, and in five there were legally designated protection areas.

Orman minimizes expansion rate]
The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization was found in warning that the forests around the world are still under pressure and the forest expansion rate is reduced. The forest expansion speed, the average of 9.88 million hectar in 2000-2015, fell 6.78 million hectara in 2015-2025. Forests are vital in food safety, local late resources, renewable biomaterial and energy supply, while it is home to the large part of biological diversity, helping the arrangement of global carbon and water cycles, reduces drought, deserting, soil erosion, heel and flood risks. Forestlessness refers to unforested areas, which are formed as a result of the destruction of livestock, waste, urbanization or fires. [
