]Peru announced that the world’s lung reaches dangerous dimension of increased environmental pollution due to oil drilling work in Amazon forests.
Peru Environmental Minister Manual Pulgar Vidal noted that the pollution in the Amazon forests reaches severe dimensions. Vidal noted that pollution in the region contains oil-associated compounds such as high lead, barium and chrome levels, expressed that the pollution formed due to oil leakage of the Argentine capital Pluspetrol company in the Pastaza River at the Ecuador border. Vidal noted that the company had to clean the pollution in the forest. [
The local groups in the region argued that for many years they have attracted attention to the pollution in the forest, but the government was insufficient to bring this problem.
]The largest oil and gas manufacturer of the country as the controller of the environmental destruction and pollution in the Amazon forests is seen in the Pluspetrol company. The company has oil extraction activities since 2001.
