Turkey’s distinguished Tourism Destination Onuru Passed to Kars from Edirne

The European Destinations of Excellence in the elite Destination Competition (European Destinations of Excellence), hosted tens of birds from 207 types and was the first Ramsar candidate of the Eastern Anatolia, which was held for the first nature arbitration island of Turkey and was the first place in the East Anatolia. As a result of the competition in March 2009 of the NorthDoğa Association, Kars ili, Turkey’s privilege Tourist Destination in 2009. Earning this contest without money abuse, the promotion of the wellcuk Lake and Kars worldwide will increase the growth of nature tourists from Kars and the districts and around the Wellcuk Lake, Kars and the surrounding provinces will rise.

The theme of the competition for the past year was “Non-somut Cultural Heritage and Tourism”, and the first thing was Edirne with Kırkpınar Oil Wrestling Festival. This year, Turkey's most important tourist destination onuru Edirne, Kars. Wellcuk Lake was the invitation destination (EDEN) in the east of Europe. With this award that will bring voice in Europe and the world, Turkey has taken a very important step to come to the place where Kars province deserves in tourism with its nature, wildlife, history, culture, food and wellness.
