Stanford brings solutions to the climate problem with the Sustainability School
The first faculty was opened in the Stanford University, which was established in the province of California in the USA and is among the best in the world. John Doerr and Ann Doerr’s double was founded with a donation of 1.1 billion dollar (16 billion pounds of 350 million pounds) aims to produce solutions to the issue of climate crisis and sustainability. The full name is Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability, the fund provided to the faculty is the most donations to the university at a time. Amazon’s early investors, the risk capitalist John Doerr and his wife Ann Doerr said, “Stanford has always taken steps to find solutions to the greatest problems of mankind.” The total budget of the newly established faculty is $1.6 billion. The amount of 500 million dollars consists of donations of other families and individuals.

At Stanford-Doerr Sustainability School, it will work for the solution of emergency climate and sustainability issues in both university campus and teaching and research. These units are: World, Energy and Environmental Sciences School, Stanford Woods Environment Institute, Precourt Energy Institute, Construction and Environmental Engineering Faculty and Hopkins Marine Station facilities. Kate Maher, professor of world system science, said Stanford-Doerr School of Sustainability will normally bring together a unique array of disciplines that do not come together in a single academic unit, which will provide a different way of interaction with communities and stakeholders.
