According to scientists, ants create a biological diversity course in the Cape region of South Africa.

Prof. Jonathan Majer and Prof. Ladislav Mucina from Curtin University in. prepared a report to describe the variety in Cape region.

BBC Nature-speaking insect protection specialist Prof. Majer says "One of the global biological diversity sites in the world." The climate of the region resembles the southwest of Western Australia. Both regions in nearby latitudes are exposed to the same wind currents and precipitation regimes. But in two regions, biological diversity was formed by scientists.

Some plants produce an identical organ called 'elaiosome', attracting them, to benefit from the ability to spread seeds of ants. Prof. Majer says: "Carines often take seeds by holding elaiosome, take it to its own slot and feed. Most often, the seed left behind and still alive throws into the nest or in the wall. This is called myrmecoori to spread. "

So the seeds do not enter the competition with them by moving away from the plants with their ancestors. They are also protected from tearing animals and bush fires.

Profile. Majer continues as follows: "Generally ants are rich in nutrients due to stools; that is more convenient for moving, germination, can be terminated in a rich place in nutrients. "

This process is a adaptation to poor ground from food direction. This type of soil in Western Australia and South Africa is particularly common. [
