Reduces livestock to reduce Dutch emissions
The Dutch government is looking for ways to reduce nitrogen emissions from farms to protect natural habitats and biological diversity. For this, radical plans were proposed to reduce the number of animals in almost three. Dutch farmers can be forced to sell land to reduce ammonia pollution and reduce the amount of animal they hold.
]AB prepared government plan warned]
The highest administrative court of the Netherlands had found that in 2019, in order to reduce more nitrogen in the sensitive natural areas of the government, the European Union (EU) laws were chewed. The speed limit in the highways to limit nitrogen emissions is 100 kilometers per hour, the construction projects of gas collar are stopped. A new law is committed to having healthy nitrogen levels of half of nature areas protected by 2030. [
The Dutch government moved for this and prepared offers with 30 percent reduction of the number of live animals, one of the most radical plans of its kind in Europe. One of the offerings also includes forced farmers to sell their territory to the state.
