PepsiCo Turkey, which makes sustainability one of the most important agenda materials in its factories, continues to lead to increasing environmental awareness with projects such as zero waste, energy and water usage reduction. Tarsus factory has managed to enter the PepsiCo’s first 3 factories in this field by saving 30 percent in energy per year, water usage. PepsiCo, which equips the roof of Tarsus factory with solar energy panels, has blocked 485 thousand 404 kg carbon release equivalent to 8026 tree planting per year. PepsiCo Turkey, which meets 40 percent of the electricity consumption of the factory in Tarsus, obtains 6 percent of these solar energy panels placed on the roofs.

PepsiCo is produced 3585 MWh electricity annually thanks to the cogeneration gas engine with 2 330 kW powers working with biogas obtained from the purification plant in Tarsus Factory. In addition to the factory, in 2020, 800kWe will incorporate a 3rd gas engine into this system. PepsiCo has the installation of GES (PV Solar panel) in Manisa and Suadiye factories in 2020. PepsiCo is also aiming to produce electricity with its ogenaration facility, which plans to install in Manisa factory in 2021. The company plans to install a ogenaration facility in Suadiye factory, also 800 kW.
